Winter Wonderland Engagement Proposal Photoshoot | Charlotte NC | Wedding, Couples & Engagement Photographer | Photos by Fatima
Get this… Brian & Kim almost didn’t do their photoshoot.
Last weekend, during our winter snow shoot, they reached out feeling hesitant. The weather, the timing, the what ifs. They wondered if they should postpone it altogether.
But I told them to trust me — the snow was going to make everything even more magical.
And wow… it did. ❄️🤍
What Kim didn’t know was that this shoot would become one of the biggest moments of her life.
Brian had a plan.
They’ve loved each other for a long time — the kind of love that’s grown through seasons, distance, and deep knowing. Both proud HBCU graduates, rooted in culture, resilience, and legacy. He’s a city boy from Philly with that quiet confidence. She’s a charming Southern girl with warmth that fills a room.
During the shoot, surrounded by falling snow and stillness, Brian got down on one knee.
Total shock. Total tears. Total magic.
Kim was stunned — the good kind of stunned. The kind where time slows down and the whole world fades away. And in that moment, love felt loud, certain, and undeniable.
What I loved most wasn’t just the proposal — it was the way they showed up for each other. Even when they were unsure. Even when the conditions weren’t “perfect.” They chose to move forward anyway.
And isn’t that what love really is?
Not waiting for perfect timing.
Not waiting for ideal conditions.
But choosing each other — again and again — even in the cold, even in uncertainty, even when you’re not sure how it’ll turn out.
Brian & Kim, thank you for trusting me with such a sacred moment. For reminding us that love is bold, love is intentional, and sometimes the most beautiful chapters begin when you almost talk yourself out of showing up.
Congratulations to the newly engaged couple. Your love story is powerful — and it was an honor to capture it. 🤍
Let’s show them some love.
