Get this… Mrs. D didn’t do this shoot for someday — she did it for now.
She’s been with her partner for nearly 10 years, building a life, growing together, choosing each other through so many seasons. And recently, they welcomed their first daughter — a moment that changes everything, including how you see yourself.
Mrs. D came in wanting to surprise her man… to spice things up, to reconnect with that side of herself that so often gets put on pause after motherhood.
But more than that — she wanted to learn how to love her new body.
Like so many women, she told me she kept thinking:
“I’ll do this after I lose the weight.”
“I just need more time.”
“I’m not ready yet.”
But then she said something that stopped me in my tracks.
She said she was tired of waiting.
Tired of putting joy on hold.
Tired of acting like confidence was a reward she had to earn.
She realized… I am good enough now.
And that’s where the magic happened.
Before her shoot, she was nervous — unsure if she’d feel beautiful, unsure if she’d recognize herself. But when she saw her images for the first time, her jaw dropped.
She said,
“OMG… is that me?”
And then she told me she had never felt so beautiful in her life.
Not because we changed her.
Not because we hid her body.
But because she finally allowed herself to be seen — exactly as she is in this season.
This is women’s empowerment.
This is reclaiming your body after motherhood.
This is choosing yourself without waiting for permission, a smaller size, or a different version of you.
