Before & After | Boudoir Photoshoot + Makeover Mrs. C’s story

Get this! Candace came in to celebrate her anniversary & 50th bday milestone (I know, I know, I thought she was 25 too! )

As a SAHM for many years, she described herself as shy, nervous, self-conscious, and “very reserved.”

This was completely out of her comfort zone & despite having always wanting to do a #boudoir shoot, she had put it off for years!

She always thought , “I have to lose the weight first”…but then after many years of saying that she realized, that the same 365 days are passing by over and over again and she thought “hey maybe I am good enough to celebrate myself now.”

That moment hit me. Because how many of us put off joy until we reach some imaginary version of “enough”?

As a former cheerleader; she told me she spent a long time feeling unsure about her body, especially with weight fluctuations and visible cellulite. But as she approached her big anniversary, she decided that this would be the perfect gift for her and her hubby!

She said she had spent years hiding — thinking she had to be smaller, smoother, different. But today… she stepped fully into her power.

Before her shoot she was super nervous, thought she didn’t have everything together and didn’t feel quite ready.

But after her shoot, she couldn’t believe that was her in the photos!

She said I was a miracle worker and that she felt so pretty and that she looked like a model.

And I’ll be honest… she did! Not because we changed her, but because she finally saw herself through a lens of love.

How everyone else sees her..how her husband sees her. And it was powerful that now she gets to see herself like that too!

I always tell my girls: You don’t need confidence before to come do the shoot. It is born during it.

Candace, thank you for letting me show you the magic that was already there. For being a role model to women everywhere that age is just a number, and you are beautiful just the way you are at every weight, age and milestone.

You are stunning, powerful, with a heart of gold — and I’m so honored I got to help you - celebrate you.
