I had another print experience today, and it was amazing!
So I just had a product come in for a client, and I love when products come in! Because I get to hold my work in my hands, and see how beautiful they look. And then hand-craft it into something beautiful you can keep, enjoy and cherish for life.
So the company that I ordered from sent me a free magazine catalogue of their new product offerings.
Of course I've seen this before, as I look on their online PDF that shows me pricing and everything.
But I awoke this morning, and my hubby and I have "morning time" where we make coffee, relax, breathe, spend time with the Lord & with ourselves. I got out the printed magazine and started flipping through it. My husband was trying to talk to me but all I heard was..."blah blah blah" background noise
Becasuse I was so mesmerized with this book! The pages felt so nice! And I just ran my fingers up and down. Looking at all the beautiful, colorful images. And going: WOW! (Even though I've seen pretty much all of this before online). Everything looked brand new, and exciting! And gorgeous.
I was reading every word on every page. And taking my time flipping through it. Ha. I was literally MESMERIZED and intreched in this experience.
And that's when I realized...phones....suck. They are INCREDIBLE devices that yield us to a limitless world, but their downfall is everything is so superficial, and...quick. And implusel-y.
And I'm all about getting back to a world where we are present in the moment. Not having to document everything. Or be in touch 24/7. But really collecting and treasuring moments, memories, and being fully IN them.
And that's when I realized...this is what print can bring.
When I opened my product and put them together yesterday, my family was around...and my mom and cousin were holding the prints like: "Oh wow, she looks so good in this one. Where is this? Oh that is how you put it together?"
There is NOTHING like this experience.
And I'm so grateful to be in the moment with print. Now I want to literally print EVERYTHING haha.
